Rod Souza is our Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) on staff. The ATP certification recognizes those who have reached an internationally accepted standard of knowledge in assistive technology and who demonstrate a commitment to provide only the highest ethical standards of practice. Achieving certification requires from 1,000 to 6,000 hours of direct consumer related services in Assistive Technology, depending on level of education.
Rod analyzes the needs of individuals with disabilities, assists in the selection of appropriate equipment to resolve mobility and other deficits, and trains consumers on how to properly use assistive equipment. We have a wide variety of equipment offerings, including custom manual wheelchairs, power operated vehicles, and power wheelchairs.
